Facilities:
Whistler Adventure School students learn in fully equipped media labs, production facilities or in the mountains of the Sea-to-Sky corridor. Our new Apple media lab features the latest editing software for full production opportunities. WAS has a Ski & Snowboard production facility, Bike mechanic and Boot technician lab as well as a digital classroom.

The WAS Marketing and Media Manager program consists of eight (8) courses which serve as the foundational skills a student will need to be successful. The program combines seven classroom based courses with a final 157.5 hour work co-operative course allowing students to put their newly learned skills to work in a “real world” situation. Enrollment Requirements:

  • Minimum of 18 years old at start of program
  • Copy of picture ID/passport with date of birth & address
  • Copy of applicant’s Certificate and Resume
  • Proficiency in English

Intake Date:

  • June 2016 (Graduation: May 2017)
  • October 2016 (Graduation: September 2017)

Length of Stay
Students should expect to spend approximately one year in Whistler to complete the program. Students with a
shorter time frame could potentially complete the program in eight months if scheduling allows.

Housing
WAS will provide shared housing to enrolled students at approximately $825 per month. (Includes utilities).
Students are required to complete the housing application on the WAS website.

Living Expenses
Living in Whistler can be expensive, expect to spend $600 -$1000 per month on food, travel, entertainment and
bills. Expect to spend more if you purchase additional sports equipment.

A standard Study Permit allows work off campus up to 20 hours per week during regular academic
sessions and work full-time during scheduled breaks. Students will need a Canadian Social Insurance Number (SIN) before applying for jobs.
