The Rocky Mountain English College offers a program that has formal classroom based ESL classes combined with outdoor recreation and cultural immersion experience. This method provides real life situations for students to practice their English and learn about Canadian culture. RMEC is a small school in a small town, so student get to know their teachers, the other students, and community members.

The classroom portion of our program utilizes Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) methods to increase student interaction and participation. We offer 5 hours of instruction per day in classes with an average of 8 students covering all 4 aspects of English communication:
- Speaking and Pronunciation
- Listening and Comprehension
- Reading and Writing
- Grammar and Vocabulary
Recreation & Field Trips
Students can attend after class activities for two times per week (included in the tuition).
These include: Hiking, Swimming, Campfires, Games, Yoga, Music, Short field trips
Every Friday and Saturday, students go on a cultural or recreational field trip including: Canoeing, Horseback riding, Camping, Berry/Mushroom picking, Rafting
Students also go on trips to: Mt. Robson, Banff, Jasper, Wells Grey Provincial and National Parks
Students are given a free bicycle to use while studying at RMEC to explore the area and travel to class.

- 1 Month program= $1800
- 2 Months program= $3000
- 3 Months program= $4000

Located in Valemount, BC, an authentic mountain town surrounded by three magnificent ranges: the Rocky, Cariboo and Monashee Mountains. Valemount is well known for its amazing scenery, abundant wildlife, and untouched Canadian wilderness. Our small town setting provides true immersion where students can experience rural Canadian living.
