Studying this program will help you develop a solid knowledge and acquire the necessary skills to offer excellent customer service in the tourism, hotel or travel industry.
The Customer Service Co-op Diploma consists of two main component in order to acquire and improve your professional skills: Academic theory and practice in the real labor market.

Students will learn effective communication skills, how to handle conflict and handle customer complaints, how to work as a team and how to create knowledge about products and services to provide relevant information to clients.” Greystone College
The areas of study in this program are:
- Workplace communication
Students will learn to gather, receive, and transmit information as well as how to write and deal with written correspondence from day to day in the customer service field.
- Working effectively with others
In this module students will learn how to work as a team, how to solve problems and conflicts that may arise when working as a team, or how to promote team commitment and cooperation among others.
- Basic IT skills
- Word documents: In this module, you will learn how to correctly operate text processing applications and how to produce working documents
- Spreadsheets: In this module, you will learn how to create and use spreadsheets and graphs.
- Hospitality, Tourism & Travel Industry information.
In this module, the students will obtain the necessary knowledge to investigate the tourist, hotel and travel industry in order to keep abreast of the technological problems and the structure of the industry.
- Providing information and assistance.
In this module the students will learn how to provide relevant information and assistance to the client in the different services and products offered by the companies. In this module you will also learn how to build a knowledge base to identify the needs of the client and be able to offer information and products adapted to their needs.
- Work placement skills.
In this module, students will learn how to apply for the SIN (Social Insurance Number) needed to work in Canada. How to develop or adapt your résumé (curriculum) and presentation to work in the industry.
- Co-op Work Experience.
Students will be able to put into practice everything they learned academically during the cooperative paid work experience. The student will work in a position that covers the objectives of the program, completing the work assignments assigned by the employer.
Once this part of the program is reached, the student must provide Greystone College feed-back through monthly periodic reports, an intermediate report and a final report.
Option 1: Morning schedule.
Duration: 26 academic weeks + 24 weeks cooperative work.
Start dates: March 26, April 23, May 22, June 18, August 7, September 4, October 1, October 29, November 26.
Option 2: Evening schedule.
Duration: 52 academic weeks + 40 weeks cooperative work.
Start Dates: March 12, May 7, July 3, August 27, October 22.
